ITALIAN LARGE LEAF basil is native to Europe where it has been cultivated for centuries as a fresh and dried culinary herb. It grows beautiful big, luscious leaves that make delicious pesto or can be dried to be used as a seasoning year round. It is one of the tallest growing basil varieties reaching up to 1m. This basil has been used as a medicinal plant and its oils and extracts are said to be antioxidant and antibacterial.
